Newsletter – August 2023 Our First Brand Store Appearance – JP Morgan Brand Store At the March WBENC National Convention, our CEO Success Community hosted a dinner for Supplier Diversity Managers. At the dinner, everyone introduced themselves. After my introduction, the VP of WBEC West took me by surprise and shouted, “Hey, Sock Queen! JP Morgan wants some socks!” The Supplier Diversity Manager was terrific. She introduced me to the head of JP Morgan’s Brand Store, and we agreed that socks would be a great addition. I love connecting with many amazing people – some new and some familiar. IDEATION’s hot topic was AI. I learned so much from the accomplished speakers and panelists about new AI technology and ways to incorporate it into business. This event highlights the amazing women in business who continue to push boundaries as they face challenges in carving their paths, breaking barriers, and redefining success. Building sock-sational relationships at conferences
Phew! Back From a Month of Conference Fun March was an action-packed month for Spirit Sox USA! First, I attended the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) Annual Convention. My favorite thing about this conference is that these Teachers, Athletic and Activity Directors, Principals, etc. are decision-makers who are in touch with the students and know what they want. So many approach my booth and say, “My students want socks.” Music to my ears! Spirit Sox USA has been a Silver Sponsor of CADA for 4 years now.
